CGI is seeking Devops Engineer with modern software engineering practices (Continuous Integration & Continuous Development, Behavior / Test Driven Development - BDD, TDD) and respective tools, to become a part of a dynamic team located in Bloomfield, CT or Lafayette LA This is an exciting opportunity to augment your current skills, as well as learn new technologies.
This DevOps Engineer will be a key contributor to our Services practice and will have the below responsibilities:
Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
Continuously improve software engineering practices
Work within and across agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across OpenShift, AWS and Kubernetes Technologies.
Write infrastructure automation templates.

Your future duties and responsibilities
This DevOps Engineer will be a key contributor to our Services practice and will have the below responsibilities:
Responsible for design, development, and implementation of Cloud solutions.
Serve as senior technical resource in DevOps team efforts to determine the needs that will simplify and automate the applications as well as make them more efficient.
Participate in the software development life cycle to ensure sound Cloud solutions are implemented.
Monitoring and setting up security scans
Working closely with Developers on Setting up SonarQube.
Supporting releases and deployments
Establishing and managing CI/CD pipelines
Sizing the Openshift requirements
Participate in planning, implementation, and growth of our customer's Openshift and Amazon Web Services (AWS) foundational footprint.
Work with Kubernetes services in on-premises cloud.
Work with our current application teams to understand our current applications and make migration recommendations and to-be architectures in AWS using Terraform templates.
Migrate existing databases from on premise to AWS using various tools including but not limited to AWS Data Migration Services and AWS Schema Conversion Tool.
Develop Kubernetes solution for the application.
Review scripting done to advance application upgrade, extension, or other development.
Develop test protocols or plan for testing revised application and review test results.

Minimum Education Required: Bachelors Degree

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 7 years of experience in Devops Engineering
• 5 of experience in code repositories like GitHub and GitLab
• 5 years of experience in establishing pipelines
• 4 years of working experience in OpenShift environments
• 3 years of working experience in AWS environment
