Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, the DevOps Engineer will streamline HumCap client’s software development process and oversee making software releases. They will be part of an agile software development team and will be responsible for the build system used by the team. They will also manage various other services that the team makes use of.
DUTIES:
• Work with the Director of Software Engineering to ensure that software releases are created to meet established schedules
• Coordinate with tech leads to tag and create production builds
• Work in parallel with software development team to maintain an optimal build environment
• Add improved automate to existing development and release processes
• Ensure software development tools, environments, build servers, and repositories are always functional and operational
• Work with software development team members to ensure that they follow established processes and standards
• Maintain automated nightly build process on Jenkins based build server
• Continually verify that builds succeed and produce functional results
• Assist with maintaining a test automation framework for multiple software applications
• Identify manual processes that can be automated
• Digitally sign verified builds and drivers with EV certificate
• Other duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years DevOps experience with an understanding of modern software development techniques
• Knowledge of Python, C# and C++
• Experience with development /deployment tools (Git, JIRA, Jenkins)
• Strong working knowledge of managing builds using Microsoft Visual Studio and CMake
• Experience developing in Agile/Scrum environment
• Proven ability to execute and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated
