PeerSource is currently recruiting for a DevOps Engineer on a Contract-to-Hire basis. This position is remote but candidate must be located in 1 of the following states: FL, NC, TX, VA, CO, HI, GA, TN.SummaryThis Engineer will be experienced with developing solutions for various platforms, on-prem, Azure and AWS. The ideal candidate has a site reliability engineer mindset, has technical depth and hands-on experience of DevOps practices, and works well within a team. The DevOps Engineer provides solutions and support to the entire delivery pipeline to facilitate improved collaboration, version control, standardization of environments, continuous integration, continuous deployment, continuous delivery with an emphasis on using automation to improve quality checks and deployment efficiencies, to support faster and more reliable delivery and development cycles. You demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and quality, understand, and pursue current and emerging technologies.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement solutions to automate the CI/CD pipelines.Build systems that dynamically scaleVersion Control and MergingInfrastructure provisioning, configuration, management, and monitoringAdminister internal tools - Azure DevOps toolset, JIRA, TeamCityDevelop and document processes that support development and production maintenanceDevelop accurate time and effort estimates for self and teamIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve system and deployment issuesCollaborate with multiple feature development teams to identify infrastructure needs and requirements for building and deploying their applications into shared environments.Work closely with development teams as SME to ensure deployable solutions that support best practicesEvaluate and recommend new tools, software, or practices that contribute to overall improvementRequired Skills3+ years of deep, practical expertise installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise-scale software products and solutionsExperience in AWS, Azure, and virtualized technology along with infrastructure provisioning on-prem and in cloud. Experience with IaC using tools such as TerraformStrong experience building CI/CD pipelines working with Azure DevOps Repo, Pipelines and ArtifactsExperience configuring other internal tools such as JIRA, Confluence, TeamCity, and Azure BoardsKnowledge of Configuration Management including installing, configuring, and administering Version Control tools (TFS, Git)Relational Database ExperienceCoding/Scripting experience (i.e Python, Groovy, PowerShell, Bash, C#) including fluency with test runners, Xamarin Test Cloud, WiX, and SetupBuilder to support package setupExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBachelor’s degree or 4 more years of work-related experienceExperience implementing Application Security Testing tools preferred No third parties.
