Description

Mindbank Consulting Group has an immediate need for a DevOps Engineer with expertise in engineering and developing web applications & technologies using the latest Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure). This is a direct hire position with a company offering great benefits and employee tenure. Yes, this position is fully remote ; work must be performed in the United States. Candidates must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents, preferably with active Public Trusts. No C2C, please.

As a key member of the team, you will be relied upon to lead and support efforts to streamline the software development lifecycle – from requirements through to production – to build, test, and maintain the infrastructure and tools and automate and improve development and release processes to allow for the speedy development and release of software. You will identify and incorporate open-source tools, Cloud resources, and automation to simplify and/or automate routine and non-routine activities to improve efficiencies and reliability and free up other technical team members to focus on other efforts; implement continuous integration and delivery – leveraging tools and capabilities to limit manual testing and troubleshooting; develop software that will Improve space-related mission systems and applications; identify software solutions [that our team can build/deploy] to help our clients solve their toughest and persistent challenges. Please Note! In this role you are expected to help junior team members’ grown their technical and consulting skills through on-the-job learning opportunities and practical advice. Also, in this role, you are encouraged to seek opportunities to broaden your own skillsets into areas such as DevSecOps pipelines, automation, and other Cloud-based technologies and capabilities.

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must have the following paid, professional, and recent experience; this experience should be technically detailed in your resume:

  • 5 years’ relevant experience commensurate with the job description
  • 3 years’ experience in software engineering and software development
  • 3 years’ experience in engineering and developing Web applications & technologies
  • 3 years’ experience with Kubernetes
  • 2 years’ experience with Terraform
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or related

Additionally, your resume should demonstrate the following skills:

  • Cloud infrastructures and tools, including AWS, Git-based source-control repositories, pipelines, GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker
  • Linux- and Windows-based operating systems administration
  • The latest Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Supporting similar efforts using Agile principles
