What we are looking for

AscellaHealth is looking for a dedicated and passionate DevOps/Production Support Engineer that will closely with the AscellaHealth software development team to facilitate delivery, support, enhancement, and systematic review of our agile software development methodology. This includes building and maintaining DevOps technology solutions to assist developers, supporting debugging efforts when required, as well as managing feature releases of code to a production environment. They will support the production environment from a custom code/solution as well as an infrastructure perspective will also be a major part of the role. This person will collaborate with the Support team to assist with large project/product implementations, testing, and evaluation efforts, as well as manage and enhance key aspects of our technology infrastructure over time. This position will be a hybrid role based in our Berwyn, PA office with the in-office schedule to be mutually decided on.

What the position will be doing

  • Support the development team by debugging issues, facilitating code promotion through test environments, and establishing streamlined processes for software delivery

  • Work with our development teams to find root causes for software bugs and offer potential solutions

  • Manage the promotion of feature releases to production environments

  • Build, maintain, and extend DevOps technology solutions to assist developers

  • Manage troubleshooting, support, and resolution of production issues related to bespoke code or core Ascella infrastructure

  • Manage and extend our corporate cloud infrastructure across cloud providers

  • Assists IT leadership and Support teams with the implementation of large projects and platforms across the organization.

  • Remain up to date on emerging trends and technology offerings within the DevOps community

  • Performs other related duties as assigned or as necessary; remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs

Necessary Skills, Education & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree, or 4-year equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • 6 or more years of DevOps and technical support experience

  • Proven experience managing on-premise and cloud Linux and Microsoft infrastructure

  • Proficient in DevOps technologies like Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Azure DevOps

  • Proficient in managing both Linux and Windows server environments

  • Proven project management experience with distributed teams using agile methodology

  • Proven experience working with development and product teams to deliver on corporate roadmap

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide solutions to complex problems

  • Ability to be highly transparent, ethical, and driven. Relentless attention to detail, and the ability to be a creative self-starter and team player

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are required

  • Ability to communicate with all levels within an organization and with clients, customers, and vendors

  • Ability to think and act independently, formulate, and support new ideas, champion new initiatives within and beyond the scope of own responsibilities

  • Ability to provide direction and motivation and set an example through open communication and modeling best practices

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
