Position: DevOps System Administrator Level 1
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD (100% On-Site)
Clearance: Top Secret/SCI Clearance with a full-scope polygraph is required

Summary
Our client is seeking DevOps System Administrators. Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly one week out of every 3-4 weeks). Staff may charge 4 additional hours for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked. On average, the team is paged for after-hours support approximately once per month with most issues resolvable by phone.

Responsibilities

  • Level 1, 5+ years of experience as DevOps System Administrator
  • Deploying applications and services
  • Installing and configuring complex software
  • Managing network servers and technology tools
  • Monitoring and maintaining the system for required levels of performance
  • Writing scripts to automate general system operations or DevOps activities
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues and outages

Required Technical Skills

  • General DevOps using Unix/Linux, to include bash, scripting, ftp, .sh, etc and system monitoring
  • GIT repositories, GitPipelines, Argo; tag/release/build processes
  • General development/staging/coop/production environment management and deployments
  • Java environments

Preferred Technical Skills

  • MASH
  • Knowledge of working with the GECC and handling outages
  • Java software development
  • Familiarity working in an Agile environment
  • Jira and Confluence

Tools

  • Linux
  • Puppet, Sensible, or similar
  • SigInt (preferred)
  • AWS (familiarity)
