Overview:

Under the direction of the Development Operations leader, the DevOps Systems Engineer will be responsible for developing, testing, troubleshooting, and implementing solutions supporting DevOps processes and operations at Patelco. The DevOps Systems Engineer will work closely with the DevOps Systems Administrator to develop, document, and administer operational best practices. The DevOps Systems Engineer will work with multiple business units to develop solutions which meet complex requirements. Will create automation scripts to enable CI/CD pipelines for software applications and infrastructure.

This position has the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement: a blended schedule of in-office and work-from-home.

Responsibilities:
Acts as technical escalation point and decision maker for team members and/or assigned lines of business.
Keeps Technology Management informed of all pertinent information regarding assigned area where they are the SME.
Demonstrates a willingness to learn new procedures, readily accepts new responsibilities, participates as a team player, and contributes to the overall success of the department.
Initiates and participates in process improvement activities for departmental processes.
Maintains audit compliance.
Provides support for all areas of Technology. Update systems, troubleshoots employee problems, and provides hands-on support for technology issues as needed.
Proficiency developing and supporting solutions with the Azure DevOps suite or equivalent technology stack
Excellent knowledge of GitHub
Strong understanding of source code and code branching
CICD development and delivery experience
Strong understanding of software config, build, release management
A Working knowledge of Jira or equivalent task management system
Experience developing Infrastructure as Code solutions, such as Terraform
Familiarity with PowerShell and Bash
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to tailor solutions to requirements stemming from multiple business units like Software Engineering and Information Security.
Being able to work in and manage a greenfield DevOps environment
Self service automation server build automation capabilities, both in Azure and on prem.
Proficiency developing and supporting solutions with the Azure DevOps suite or equivalent technology stack
Proficiency with programming languages and scripting methods such as Python, Bash, Java, C, C++, .NET
Experience developing Infrastructure as Code solutions, such as Terraform
Familiarity with PowerShell and Bash
Functional experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment systems.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes
Revision control systems such as GitHub
Perform administration, configuration, and support of cloud-hosted environments in Microsoft Azure.
Collaborate with Product Managers, business analysts, development teams, support staff and other internal stakeholders to fully understand product priorities, and requirements.
Review or help maintain documentation, including, but not limited to:
Automation Design specs
Software/System Architecture & Design specs
Development and technology standards and processes
Author, review and maintain SOPs, work instructions and guidelines for DevOps processes and technology.
Strong working knowledge of Information Security practices
Ability to perform cost analysis and recommend efficient solutions
Ability to coach and mentor across tiers / experience levels
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in computer science or other applicable technical certifications.
Demonstrated the ability to handle multiple projects at once, with strong organizational skills and minimal supervision.
5+ Years as an IT Systems Engineer with DevOps duties OR 5+ Years as a Software Engineer with IT Infrastructure experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
Relevant industry leading certifications
Coding certifications
Provide direction and support to team members regarding complex technical problems.
This job has essential functions which require onsite presence in our Dublin HQ office, hybrid remote work possible with pre-approval.
Target Base Pay:

$109961 - $137452 / year
