Our team covers a variety of responsibilities that are executed by DevSecOps, Site Reliability and ML Ops Engineers, including:
-Defining standard release automation patterns for infrastructure and application components
-Defining standard CI/CD pipeline patterns that include a common set of DevOps and SecOps tools
-Developing reports and metrics to validate existing and new pipelines use standard DevSecOps tools
-Proactive optimization of redundancies, monitoring and alerting practices and patterns
-Developing resilient and highly available cloud patterns -Controlling and executing the promotion of code through all environments
-Infrastructure as Code development for buildout cloud infrastructure -Building and Releasing pipeline development
-Secrets and configuration management
-Monitoring systems and services, providing incident and emergency response to triage and resolve system or client issues
-Management of the application ecosystem improving platform infrastructure and applications with high reliability, resiliency, performance and quality
-Supporting documentation, knowledge articles, and runbooks
-Designing, building and Implementing devops patterns that adhere to PwC's security guidelines and policies.

PwC Digital DevOps Engineer will have the passion and the drive to achieve and deliver world-class operational performance. At PwC, we expect our DevOps engineers to work side-by-side with our software developers and solution architects to solve infrastructure problems, create infrastructure from code, and leverage continuous integration and continuous deployment principles.

In lieu of a Bachelor Degree, 12 years of professional experience involving technology-focused process improvements, transformations, and/or system implementations.

**Required Knowledge and Skills** :

A DevOps Engineer will:

+ Contribute to the design process, transforming plans into tasks that assist in developing systems and applications that are loosely coupled and highly performant;

+ Maintain & advance a culture of trust, integrity, accountability and teamwork;

+ Establish and maintain a culture that puts the team first with a product oriented mentality;

+ Investigate, develop, monitor, and administer programmatically scalable infrastructure components using Azure/AWS/GCP technologies;

+ Ensure backups and disaster recovery plans are in compliance with IT directives;

+ Participate in capacity planning, optimization and system monitoring improvements;

+ Ensure all Cloud Services (PaaS,IaaS,SaaS) comply with IT Compliance Policies;

+ Provide feedback on solution designs offering insights and improvements utilizing the latest technologies;

+ Ensure proper monitoring are configured for infrastructure layer; and,

+ Continuous learning of the latest features and technologies.

At least 5+ years of experience in software development or in the DevOps space in delivery of software products.

**Preferred Knowledge/Skills** :

Our DevOps engineers have a passion for solving problems, exploring new tools and continuously looking for ways to automate and work together with our Global teams. Demonstrating extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader:

+ 4+ years of container/orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes, EC2, Container Services like AKS, ECS etc.);

+ 4+ years of experience with infrastructure as code to automate deployment (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible etc.);

+ 4+ years of experience with leveraging PaaS and Azure Services (Web Apps,App Gateway,ApiM,Sql Server,SignalR,Functions);

+ 3+ years of experience scripting in Bash, Perl, Python, Powershell);

+ 4+ years of experience with virtualization of servers, networking, and storage;

+ 4+ years working with Cloud Technologies (AWS/GCP/Azure strongly preferred);

+ 4+ years working with or around code repository systems (Git, Bitbucket, GitHub);

+ 4+ years working with Jenkins/Azure DevOps, Maven, or other CI/CD/CM Tools, Git, Docker Registry, Package Repository;

+ Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools;

+ Background as a developer a strong plus;

+ Experience researching and designing highly available system;

+ Ability to work in a fast paced and Agile environment, Scrum experience a strong plus;

+ Automation first approach;

+ Understanding and focus on business outcomes; and,

+ Understanding and efficiency in collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in technical roles involving the following areas:

+ Communicating, verbally and written, with both business and technical stakeholders to achieve objectives;

+ Managing rapid-prototyping efforts with new and emerging technologies leveraging agile methodologies;

+ Designing successful technical/integration architectures for large-scale platforms with a mix of 3rd party vendor, open-source, custom software, including the documentation of technical assumptions and decisions;

+ Contributing and managing incubators/innovation lab environments, and working with small teams across a variety of new and emerging technologies; and,

+ Working in an environment that leverages project management skills like planning and tracking, issue and risk management, multitasking, team organization, and activity prioritization.
