THE OPPORTUNITY

The DevOps Engineer bridges the gap between the IT Restaurant Technology and IT Operations (Support and Field Services) so that Chipotle can release software faster and more reliably. The DevOps Engineer collaborates with partners in development, QA, deployment, knowledge management and training, and support to ensure changes are documented, training and support are considered, that QA is comprehensive, deployment method and validation are understood, and support is confident in their ability to provide solutions in cases of issues. The DevOps Engineer will partner with the Automation team to assist in the design and development of automation of repetitive tasks for known issues to reduce the impact of support. The DevOps Engineer will and will ensure that continuous feedback is provided to development, QA, and deployment teams from operations to further reliability on future releases.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

In addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Investigate and resolve highly technical issues
  • Perform root cause analysis for production errors
  • Collaborate with software vendors to investigate and develop solutions to production issues
  • Develop and maintain processes for operations and support
  • Develop automation, effective monitoring, and analysis solutions
  • Design visualizations for systems to reduce troubleshooting time
  • Design, build, and deploy configuration changes, applications, and policies to mobile devices
  • Help define, document, evolve, and evangelize high standards and best practices across multiple teams

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 5-8 years of advanced IT Support or Development for multi-unit enterprise
  • Some Supervisory experience preferred
  • A+, CSM, ITIL certifications required
  • Network+ or ITILv4 certifications preferred
  • Advanced NCR Aloha Support or Administration
  • Automation using Puppet, Chef, UiPath

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $71,000 to $97,000. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
