We are seeking a talented, collaborative, high-energy DevOps professional with extensive technical expertise and a passion for software craftsmanship to help build, test, and release the next generation of our cloud-based data pipelines, embedded APIs, web services, and web applications. Medi-Span technology products are critical components of the clinical workflow when embedded in today's electronic health record systems and pharmacy systems.

**Essential Duties and responsibilities**

+ As a Lead DevOps Product Software Engineer, partner with and provide mentorship to Medi-span engineering teams to:

+ Design, implement and automate the creation of Cloud Infrastructure in Azure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible

+ Provide Leadership, experience and mentoring on the adoption and usage of Infrastructure as Code automation across engineering and as well as the broader organization

+ Build and help maintain CI/CD pipelines and batch job orchestration across multiple environments

+ Advise, implement and support the adoption of Cloud Native solutions as appropriate to the situation and needs

+ Build effective monitoring and alerting solutions for Medi-span applications and infrastructure

+ Ensure the infrastructure, automation, monitoring, and CI/CD solutions for Medi-span are compatible with the broader organizational Devops and Security patterns and processes

+ On a rotating basis, you will work as an embedded resource within existing Medi-Span teams helping them:

+ Deploy and maintain critical applications

+ Design new systems and modernize existing applications

+ Identify areas in need of architectural improvement and proposing replacement strategies

+ Resolve Production incidents and perform root cause analysis

+ Improve knowledge sharing across the organization on both devops best practices and our current devops platforms

+ Have on call responsibilities in rotation with the engineering team

**Job Qualifications**

Education:? Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field. Master's degree preferred.

Experience:?

+ Minimum 10 years of software related experience required, with a mixture of Site Reliability, DevOps, or Release Engineering experience with Software Engineering experience in backend services or data systems

+ Experience building applications using Java and or C#

+ Able to communicate complex technical projects to multiple staff types effectively in order to achieve buy in on plans and proposals.?

+ Demonstrated technical leadership or management delivering software or infrastructure platform for a global commercial B2B or B2C SaaS or IaaS product

+ Experience and deep commitment to the transformation to a DevOps culture focusing on continuous integration - full lifecycle of building, automated and performance testing, and automating deployment.

+ Experience maintaining and deploying highly available, fault-tolerant cloud-native systems at scale using Infrastructure as Code automation. Azure Certifications are a plus.

+ Experience building platforms for monitoring & alerting and defining standard operating procedures

+ Experience implementing Build/Deploy systems utilizing pipelines-as-code

+ Experience with diagnostic tools and script automation of Windows and Linux

+ Prior industry experience in the health care sector is a plus
