Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a Cleared Lead DevOps Software Engineer to support design and development of a next generation customer operations platform. You will be responsible for the design, automation, and continuous integration of software products as they are built and deployed to operational end-points. In addition, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of DevOps Engineers in executing implementation of the DevOps pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of DevOps Engineers in designing, developing, and maintaining a DevOps framework to support automation and deployment of operational capabilities

  • Identifying and assigning tasking (using Agile/Scrum) for team members to implement the long-term roadmap of the DevOps team

  • Automate deployments of applications using Gitlab CI/CD, on-prem Kubernetes, Ansible, and other automation technologies

  • Develop both customer and team supporting documentation using Atlassian Confluence

  • Perform maintenance, upgrades and troubleshooting of existing enterprise development applications including (but not limited to) on-prem Kubernetes (k8s), Helm, Gitlab Ultimate, JFrog Enterprise - Artifactory / Xray / Distribution

  • Provide technical support and training to project team and customer

Required Skills

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Management, or a related discipline or comparable work experience

  • 3 years of experience in a related field that includes DevOps and/or Site Reliability responsibilities

  • 2+ years experience managing/administering a multi-cluster Kubernetes environment

  • Experience creating and modifying Gitlab CI/CD pipelines or equivalent (Jenkins/JFrog Pipelines)

  • Scripting (in one of either Bash, Python, Gawk, Perl, Groovy, etc.)

  • TS Clearance is required and must be eligible to obtain and maintain polygraph clearance

Desired Skills

  • Experience with distributed architectures including Linux (RHEL, Centos, Ubuntu, etc), macOS, and Windows Server Operating Systems

  • Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Amazon SQS, etc)

  • Experience with systems utilizing RESTful Interfaces (REST APIs)

  • Experience deploying and administering an Artifact binary repository (Nexus, Maven, Artifactory, etc.)

  • Experience with source code repository tools and services (GIT, SVN, Gitlab, Github, Bitbucket, etc)
