Kforce has a client in search of a talented Senior DevOps Engineer in Plano, TX.

Job Description:
The Senior DevOps Engineers/Sr. Platform Engineers are engaged in supporting all phases of the software development lifecycle which include development, testing, and deployment. Primary functions of the Senior DevOps Engineer are to design, develop, document, test and debug new tooling, pipeline configurations, best practices/processes, infrastructure connectivity and/or applications for internal use. This Senior DevOps Engineer role is occupied by those who display expertise within their respective areas of specialization that enable them to lead and influence technical direction with an appropriate awareness of decisions and resulting impacts on business and technical objectives. In addition, the Senior DevOps Engineer will have productive and solid working relationships with internal and third-party team members and, on behalf of management, delegate technical work packages.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Senior DevOps Engineer:

• Influences technical direction for large scale, highly complex technical initiatives and/or projects requiring integration of cross-functional systems
• Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them
• Keeps management appropriately informed of progress and issues
• Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning
• Document and design various processes; update existing processes
• Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on best practices and processes
• Improve infrastructure development and application development
• Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery
• Test implemented designs
• Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects
