What you'll do

We are looking for someone to lead our growing DevOps Platforms team which is responsible for developing platform engineering within DV. The platform team is responsible for managing 100+ Kubernetes clusters, provisioned through self-service GitOps, Gitlab-ci, Terraform and argoCD addons. It also manages and operates Kafka and Aerospike clusters that help DV serve billions of impressions per day.

  • Managing the team's projects, task and priorities on a daily basis, review the team hours on daily basis to make sure the team are working on the correct priorities
  • Act as a DevOps mentor to the team, making sure the team skills and knowledge are improving over time by creating a personal training/improvement plan for each one of the members of the team
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new platforms and features, making sure they are all developed so they fit nicely in our Continuous Delivery framework, security policies, audit systems and processes.
  • Code review the work of the team and responsible for its quality
  • Be part of the design meeting that is done by the other teams within the organization (Development, Security, SRE, etc...) and provide the devops inputs

Who you are

  • Previous experience managing a team
  • Excellent coding skills, nothing less will do
  • DevOps experience with a good planning understanding of continuous delivery and deployment patterns and tools - prior experience with kubernetes is a must
  • Ability to leverage application and system metrics, log events, and wire data to analyze performance
  • Good communication skills, a great personality, and a love for working collaboratively
  • Experience working with GCP or other public cloud
  • Experience in working on large scales and delivering big features
  • Mastery of one or more configuration management frameworks (gitlab-ci/terraform/ansible/argoCD preferred).
  • Strong knowledge and experience running large deployments of Kubernetes or Kafka
  • Strong experience with Bash or Python

The successful candidates starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV. The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between $99,000 - $197,000 . This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, and benefits.
