The Wealth and Investment Management Platform team provides support for Wealth and Investment Management line of business applications.  This includes Payables and Receivables, Commercial Card, Account Reconciliation and Disbursements, Lockbox, Information Reporting, and Pricing Tools, as well as, Enterprise payment applications, including ACH, Wires, and Secure Transmission applications.  The team is accountable for the availability, stability, resiliency and operational health of all platforms aligned with TMPS. The team will partner with all teams in Wells Fargo including those in business operations to ensure all our customer transactions and associated technologies are monitored for operational health, performance, capacity and availability. The team will also play a key role in enabling and driving forward the agile acceleration and DevOps changes currently underway.  Team members within this function will ensure availability is paramount, including our critical obligation of protecting our customer’s information.

We are hiring a Software Sr. Engineer to join the (Platform Services Wealth Investment Management Technology Team.) 
The Sr. Engineer will help to drive the Platform Service Transformation journey. 

The candidate will lead building capabilities for on demand testing environments, driving automation of manual tasks and utilizing service visualization and test data management tools. Targeting platforms such as: Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes (for both private and public cloud). Accountabilities include partnering with the Wealth & Investment Management Technology teams supporting a highly complex integrated platform by providing DevOps capabilities and adoption of new enhanced and automated processes and tools. We are looking for a Sr. Engineer who enjoys and thrives on solving complex problems through innovation impacting change at scale. 

You will join an elite team of engineers driving Technology's transformation by introducing enterprise capabilities and products, launching new platforms, building tools, automating away complex issues, and integrate with the latest technology. The team will leverage experience as software engineers and systems engineers/administrators and work closely with the rest of the WIM development and architecture teams. 
  
Key Responsibilities Include:
Apply technology background in software engineering, SRE, multi Cloud platform management, DevOps, CI/CD, and Continuous Testing to deliver and introduce new technology capabilities and drive DevOps value in a multi-cloud technology landscape:

  • Development of target architectures, environment engineering, standards and best practices 
  • Develop approach, lead hands on implementation and adoption plan for Test Environment On Demand (Eod) which includes:
  • Environment blueprinting/discovery
  • Environment manifest 
  • Environment Orchestration (IaaC – Infrastructure as a code)
  • Service and data virtualization
  • Integration and automation of EoD solution with Ci/CD to enable continues testing which should become self service capability for app dev teams 
  • Orchestrate required infra based on manifest, deploy code, set up service virtualization, config,  set up right data, run automated testing, collect evidence, shut down environment 
  • Capability to be created for Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes platforms
  • Measure:  Develop and measure adoption metrics

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Linux OS environment
  • 2+ years working with configuration and monitoring technologies such Ansible, Telegraf, Grafana
  • 2+ years of experience in Automation and Continuous Integration-Continuous Development (CI-CD) of Full Circle applications
  • 2 + years of experience with infrastructure traffic data flow analytics tools
  • 1+ year of experience supporting and monitoring a software/hardware test lab or production environment

Desired Qualifications

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud technologies

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Proven experience defining environment on demand capabilities with cloud technologies for large scale program, working hands on to build POCs and driving adoption at scale. 
  • In depth, hand on understanding of different Iaac orchestration tooling
  • Coaching and leading experience 
  • Solid DevOps adoption and transformation background both in creating capabilities, driving large scale adoption and measuring results. 
  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud technologies: AWS, PCF, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Linux, Azure, Windows, VMware
  • 3+ years of experience working with rational and nonsql databases (Oracle, SQL, MongoDB)
  • 2+ years of experience working and implementing Service Virtualization solution using both home grown and vendor  technologies: CA Lisa (DevTest), ReadyApi, Micro Focus Serv Virt, Soap UI
  • Proven experience with one or more Observability/Monitoring tools: Elastic, Kibana, Grafana, AppDynamics, New Relic, DataDog, Kafka, CloudWatch, Jaeger, Zipkin, Big Panda, Splunk, TrueSight
