Title: Sr. DevOps Specialist 

Onsite Location: Pittsfield, MA 

50% hybrid -  Must be local to area

Required: Active Secret Clearance

Rate: $50 - $60.00 D.O.E. / W2 Contract Only

Summary:
GeoLogics is looking for a Sr. DevOps Specialist (Sr. Adv IT Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer), to serve as a front-line interface to users with technical issues by conducting systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies. 
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience. 
  • Active secret security clearance
  • DOD8570 certified (A+, Network+, security +, CCNA-Security)
  • An advanced knowledge of RedHat Linux, VMware vSphere, application environments and related technologies.
  • Proficient knowledge of software tools supporting Integrated Development Environments (IDE), version control, defect reporting and scripting.
  • Proficient with developer tools/concepts/scripting/methodologies - JIRA, Confluence, GitLab, Docker, Anisble, Vault, Python, Powershell, Bash.
  • Define and build the different development, testing, and production environments.
  • Work on fully automated pipelines, which build, deploy, and test across multiple environments.
  • An ability to architect, deploy and continuously maintain secure, reliable and flexible best practice infrastructures and systems.
  • Experience with implementing Linux/Windows security controls to maintain system compliance.
  • Subject Matter Expert in researching and troubleshooting complex technical issues.

  • Familiarity with compliance controls: STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides), RMF (Risk Management Framework), DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement), NIST SP 800-171/800-53, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).
  • Ability to engineer with system security as number one priority.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and adopt new technologies while continuously developing yourself.
  • Handle all levels of support with ability to collaborate and communicate with those of varying levels of technical skill.
  • Ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and strong motivational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills from a variety of viewpoints.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Maintaining and advancing a DevOps infrastructure, 
  • Installing new software, troubleshooting, granting permissions to applications. 
  • Responsible for the day-to-day support of server services by performing server administration for physical and virtual server operating systems and configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting of physical and virtual hardware and network related interfaces on servers. 
  • Perform OS and vendor software patching on servers and monitor physical and virtual servers performance using monitoring tools.
